  • George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and Benjamin Franklin grew industrial hemp. Jefferson smuggled hemp seeds from China to France then to America.
  • CBD is non-psychoactive. It does not have the same mood-altering effects of THC and is safe at high doses. The reason is because of CBD's lack of affinity to CB1 receptors. That’s why CBD has a variety of positive effects on the human body and brain, increasing mental clarity without causing any sort of “high.”
  • The first crop grown in many states was hemp. 1850 was a peak year for Kentucky producing 40,000 tons. Hemp was the largest cash crop until the 20th century.
  • Hemp was the first crop grown in many states. In 1938, hemp was called the ‘Billion Dollar Crop’ for being the first cash crop to have the potential to exceed a billion dollars. Hemp was the largest American cash crop until the 20th century.
  • Medical properties of CBD have been known to reduce nausea and vomiting, suppress seizures, combat psychosis, inflammatory, and neurodegenerative disorders, kill tumor and cancer cells, and aid in anti-anxiety and depression.
  • In 1916, the U.S. Government predicted that by the 1940s all paper would come from hemp and that no more trees need to be cut down. Government studies report that 1 acre of hemp equals 4.1 acres of trees. In general, hemp has strongest natural fiber of any source.
